Dubai's Public Prosecution took to social media to issue a reminder about visa and residence permit regulations. The authority said that forging visas, residence permits, or related official documents with the intent to violate the law can result in a prison sentence of up to 10 years. The penalty applies not only to document forgers, but also to those knowingly using such forged documents. Last year, authorities in the UAE prosecuted over 10,500 illegal residents. These cases include absconding, illegal entry, forged permits, unauthorized employment, expired visas, and working on visit visas. MFD/Expat Media
