Dubai authorities facilitated a reunion between a prisoner and his child, arranging for the son to visit his detained parent for the first time. The father and son only saw each other virtually before the surprise visit. The emotional reunion was arranged by the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions led by Brigadier Marwan Jalfar. The father and son expressed gratitude, acknowledging that their previous interactions had been limited to online communication. The meeting was organized as part of the "Inmate Happiness" initiative, which aims to foster reconnections between inmates and create a more positive and fulfilling environment for them while they are in custody.
