Lamcy Plaza, one of Dubai’s most beloved community malls of the early 2000s, is once again up for grabs. Authorities have reopened the auction for the property, with a new base price of Dh185 million. Interested bidders have until August 20 to submit their offers. The mall, which closed in 2017 after a fire, last went to auction in April 2024 with a base price of Dh210 million. That round ended without any bidders. Before the rise of Dubai’s mega-malls, Lamcy Plaza held a special place in the city’s retail scene. Known for its department store model and bustling food court, it drew steady crowds from surrounding neighbourhoods.
