To improve public facilities and meet the needs of modern commuters, six smart stations will be launched across the emirate, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai announced. The stations will be strategically placed and provide various services, including free Wi-Fi, phone charging ports, umbrella covers for shade, seating areas, and interactive smart screens. There is also a space for bikers to park their bikes, along with a toolbox and air pumps, improving the overall commuting experience in Dubai. Unveiled at the recent Gitex Global 2024 technology exhibition, the smart stations are designed to offer a one-stop solution for both residents and visitors. The first station is set to open in Al Barsha 2, with plans to expand to other areas of the city, according to an RTA official. FLE/Expat Media
