Dubai launches Uber service for airport transport

A new collaboration has been unveiled to improve travelers' commute experiences once they arrive in Dubai. As tourist arrivals surge during the winter, Dubai Airports has partnered with Uber to boost on-ground mobility in the city. Smart Itineraries, Uber's newest travel function, has also been released. When riders link their Uber profiles with their Google accounts by clicking on 'Trip' in the app, it displays upcoming travel plans. It allows customers to reserve an Uber to and from specific places based on hotel and flight bookings, further enhancing the travel experience. Smart Itineraries is part of Uber's global Travel Suite of Offerings, with various services soon available in the region. Uber's new vehicle staging area at Dubai International (DXB) will hold around 125 vehicles, allowing passengers at the pick-up zone to have a short anticipated arrival time (ETA). As part of the agreement, Uber and Dubai Airports will increase the capacity of pick-up zones in all terminals, including twelve parking bays and in-terminal signage. BKM/ Expat Media
