Dubai Police arrested an Asian in the Ras Al Khor area and two other drug users after being caught hiding drugs inside two rolls of a Dh10 banknote. The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced him to five years in prison, followed by deportation, and fined him Dh50,000. The case dates back to June 2022 when the Anti-Narcotics Department in Dubai Police received credible information that an Asian facilitated drug abuse for others and possessed a large quantity of narcotics in the Ras Al Khor area. The policeman went on to say that a team from the Anti-Narcotics Department went to the Ras Al Khor area and arrested the suspect and two others who were under the influence of drugs. Following an inspection of the suspect, two packages of ten dirhams containing narcotic substances were discovered in his possession. He was apprehended alongside the other two suspects. According to the forensic lab report, the suspects' samples demonstrated that the substances discovered were narcotic crystals. The samples of the convict and others showed that they had abused drugs. During interrogation, the suspect admitted to abusing drugs obtained through the WhatsApp app from a dealer outside the country and facilitating drug use for others. BKM/ Expat Media
