A criminal court fined a 34-year-old European Dh10,000 for assaulting another driver. The victim reported the incident to the police, who referred him to the public prosecutor. The victim stated in public prosecution investigations that he was driving his vehicle at an allowed speed on Al Khail Street, coming from Jebel Ali towards Festival City. The accused's vehicle was directly in front of him. The victim attempted to signal to him by using the high beam to allow him to pass, but he ignored him. He went on to say that he was in a hurry and that the accused refused to let him use the fast lane, so he took the initiative to change his path by moving to the parallel lane, but he was surprised to find the accused following and cutting him off in the parallel lane as well. According to the victim, the accused followed him until they came to a stop at a traffic light. When the accused got out of his car and approached him, the victim opened his window and was punched in the face. When the forensic team examined the victim, it was determined that the injury was caused by the accused. In the police report, the accused admitted to his part in the incident and was fined by the court. BKM/ Expat Media
