Daily commuters just got a smoother ride. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has rolled out a new direct Dubai Metro route from Centrepoint Station to Al Fardan Exchange Station, designed to ease congestion during peak hours. The route expansion means the Red Line now has three direct services: • Centrepoint to Al Fardan Exchange Station (new) • Centrepoint to Expo City Dubai • Centrepoint to Life Pharmacy Station The RTA said the direct services are already improving passenger convenience by reducing waiting times, shortening journeys, and helping distribute crowd levels more efficiently across the network. “The direct services have already shown improvements in passenger convenience, reduced train kilometres, and enhanced efficiency across the metro network,” the authority said. The new direct line also spares passengers from having to transfer at Jebel Ali Metro Station, which has long been a choke point during rush hours. With Dubai Metro serving hundreds of thousands of riders daily, the addition of a streamlined route is expected to make commuting less stressful for residents and visitors alike. ICA/Expat Media
