Commuters can now work at Burjuman Metro Station following the recent opening of WO-RK, a co-working space in partnership with Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). WO-RK opened to the public on Tuesday (June 25). It is located near Exit 2 of BurJuman Metro Station. The 4,000sqft co-working space can currently accommodate 100 people in seated workstations that are available for rent starting at Dh35 per day. WO-RK is open on weekdays from 8am to 8pm. The space is open to anyone, and also offers part-time membership for Dh200 per month with up to 30 hours of usage, and full-time membership for Dh650 per month with unlimited hours. WO-RK users have access to a pantry with free water and coffee. Members can also book private offices and meeting rooms, and access open-plan spaces according to their needs. WO-RK is managed by The Co-Spaces and will be launched on a trial basis, according to the RTA. “Based on the success of the launch of the first co-working space in BurJuman Metro Station, RTA will look at expanding it to other favourable locations along the metro network,” said Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director of Commercial and Investment of RTA. The Co-Spaces Founder Shahzad Bhatti said that WO-RK will also provide business support services, including getting business licenses, Ejari and business address.
