Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced revised timings for Dubai Metro, public parking, and Salik during  Ramadan. The changes will come into effect at the start of Ramadan, expected to begin on March 1. An official announcement and confirmation will be done by the UAE Moonsighting Committee. The Dubai Metro’s Red and Green lines will operate from 5am to 12am from Monday to Thursday and on Saturdays. On Fridays, trains will run from 5am to 1am, while on Sundays, services will operate from 8am to 12am. Dubai Tram will run from 6am to 1am from Monday to Saturday, and from 9am to 1am on Sundays. Paid parking hours will be split into two periods from Monday to Saturday: the first period will be from 8am to 6pm, and the second from 8pm to 12am. Parking will be free between 6pm and 8pm, and on Sundays. Multi-level parking buildings will continue to operate 24/7. Salik toll charges will also be adjusted during Ramadan. Peak hours will apply from 9am to 5pm, with a Dh6 fee, while off-peak hours will be from 7am to 9am and 5pm to 2am, with a Dh4 fee. Salik will be free between 2am and 7am, Monday to Saturday, and a flat Dh4 rate will apply on Sundays. The RTA encouraged residents to plan their trips accordingly. “We advise commuters to use the S'hail app or visit the RTA website for up-to-date information on public transport services,” the authority said in a statement. Revised customer service centre hours will also be available on the RTA’s official website. The authority urged commuters to utilize smart services for inquiries and payments during Ramadan.
