Dubai Metro services likely to resume next week

  DUBAI – The Dubai Metro is will reopen on April 26, as the Dubai Economic Department (DED) released on Thursday (April 23) new guidelines easing movement restrictions in the country. Metro services, along with public transport services, will resume on April 26 with the reintroduction of normal tariff rates. The Red Line and Green Line will operate from 7am to 11pm. Precautionary measures for passengers will continue to be followed. Restricted areas will not be serviced.
Passengers will need to wait three minutes during peak hours in the Red Line and Green Line, with authorities saying this will be assessed based on demand. Passengers are also required to wear face masks and to observe physical distancing inside the stations. Usage of elevators and escalators will also be tightly regulated to avoid crowding.
