More than 570 cars have been seized, six have been arrested, and over 460 traffic notices were issued.

Dubai's Mounted Police have conducted over 800 patrols in the first half of the year 2023. These operations have resulted in a seizure of 570 cars involved in crimes or traffic violations, six arrests, and over 460 traffic notices issued. Maj Gen Mohammed Al Adhab, Director of Dubai Mounted Police, highlighted the effective security strategy in Dubai that combines traditional and modern policing. The use of horses in police operations has been a tradition since the 1970s. Mounted police officers have reached inaccessible areas, and have also been involved in inspecting suspects, examining vehicles, and securing sports facilities, which is important in ensuring public safety. Dubai's mounted police department has received international recognition for their training methods, offering specialized training for riders and therapeutic programs for people with disabilities. The department has trained 79 people with disabilities and rehabilitated five horses, Maj Gen Al Adhab said. The center has 100 horses cared for by professional veterinarians. Volunteers have also actively participated in 92 patrols alongside the mounted police teams, contributing to public safety. JAC/Expat Media
