Dubai Municipality prints environmental awareness messages on several beaches

Dubai's beaches have been inscribed with messages and images to raise environmental protection awareness. The Dubai Municipality has shared a video online showing a large cylinder with unique indentations rolled across the sand to leave messages on the shore. The designs are printed daily on several beaches in the emirate. The initiative is in line with the community's commitment to environmental responsibility. In November, an army of eco-friendly volunteers in Dubai planted 5,000 mangroves in less than an hour to support the United Arab Emirates' ambitious effort to breathe new life into the planet's "green lungs." More than 100 New York University Abu Dhabi's Community Outreach Program members gathered in a beautiful location near Jebel Ali to do their part in the country's bid to plant an additional 100 million mangroves by 2030. This important pledge was made at last year's Cop26 climate summit in Glasgow as part of the Emirates' continued efforts to support the global green agenda. BKM/ Expat Media
