Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai headed a Dubai Executive Council meeting where several resolutions where several emirate-related resolutions were passed, including the restructuring of Dubai Municipality and Land Department. Dubai Municipality, the oldest department in the emirate is set to be restructured into a specialized institution with a single regulatory body and create future economic opportunities worth Dh10 billion and raise service quality by 20 percent. Dubai Land Department is also set to be restructured to cater to more investments in the real estate sector. In support of family businesses, a new system will be introduced to ensure the support and sustainability of family businesses for at least 100 years. An arbitration center for family disputes will be set up including four new legal resolutions regarding family businesses. A vision for residential neighborhoods that would improve the quality of life of their Emirati residents through economic opportunities and a better social and residential environment was tackled, starting with Khawaneej, Barsha, and Al Mizhar neighborhoods being the first recipients of the development projects. A new Development and Citizens Affairs Committee to be headed by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan is set to supervise social housing and development services and provide economic opportunities for young people. Sheikh Hamdan is also the head of the committee in preparing the Dubai Metaverse strategy and in supervising technology and future digital economy developments. Development projects on Dubai's outskirts are also set to be in motion by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) starting with Al Habbab, Al Lisaili, Al Faqa, and Al Marmoom, which will soon be developed into tourist and cultural destinations and improved services for economic development and opportunities.
