Dubai’s iconic Nakheel Mall has gotten a new name and a fresh look. Now officially called Palm Jumeirah Mall, the destination has unveiled a redeveloped section that promises to take shopping and dining on the Palm to a new level. The renaming was announced on Wednesday (September 3 )by Dubai Holding Asset Management (DHAM), which operates one of the emirate’s most extensive retail portfolios. For DHAM, the change is about more than just a new sign on the door; it’s about reaffirming the mall’s identity as the beating heart of Palm Jumeirah. Walking into the redeveloped wing, visitors are greeted with a curated lineup of international powerhouses and homegrown favorites. Luxury and lifestyle fashion brands now include Paul Smith, Boss, Lacoste, Polo Ralph Lauren, Patrizia Pepe, Luisa Spagnoli, Sandro, Maje, Lululemon, The Giving Movement, Furla, Swarovski, and more. Family-friendly options such as Le Petit Bateau, Jacadi, and Pablosky add to the mix. Food lovers also have plenty to celebrate. Among the new culinary arrivals are Home Bakery, Brunch & Cake, Le Majlis, Al Beiruti, %Arabica, Konjiki Hototogisu, a Michelin-starred ramen brand from Japan, and Gyu Kaku, a Japanese barbecue concept. Beyond fashion and food, the mall now houses playful and design-forward experiences such as Lego and Kartell, reinforcing its role as a lifestyle destination rather than just a shopping centre. The mall is no stranger to reinvention. Since its opening in 2019, it has drawn millions of visitors annually, cementing its status as a key attraction on the Palm. With its West Rooftop dining destination, featuring restaurants like 3 Cuts, Samakje, Gatsby, Chalet Berezka, and Cheesefarm, Palm Jumeirah Mall continues to blend local flavor with global flair. For DHAM, which oversees 10 shopping malls, 15 lifestyle destinations, and 18 retail centres across Dubai, the renaming reflects a broader vision: to create spaces that are not only commercial hubs but also places that “inspire, connect, and deliver memorable experiences” for residents and visitors alike.
