Dubai has been crowned the number one city for solo female travelers in 2025, according to a comprehensive study by travel insurance provider InsureMyTrip. The emirate climbed four spots from its 2024 ranking, thanks to its low crime rates, women-only sections in public transport, and exceptional cleanliness. Dubai scored impressively across categories such as “feeling safe walking alone at night” (83.11/100), “feeling safe despite gender” (86.23/100), and the “quality of things to do” (4.58/5). Dubai also recorded the highest number of TikTok hashtags among the listed cities, with 35.7 million mentions, highlighting its popularity among solo travelers. Sara Boisvert, Director of Marketing at InsureMyTrip, noted, “As more women embrace solo travel, safety remains a top priority. While cities like Dubai and Krakow are leading the way in creating secure and inclusive experiences, it’s crucial for travelers to stay informed and prepared.” Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, previously emphasized Dubai’s commitment to safety: “Residents can safely walk alone at night. Safety is a blessing and security means calmness and a happy life.”
