Nearly 10,000 millionaires are expected to relocate to Dubai in 2025 — more than one every hour — according to a new report that cements the city’s growing reputation as a permanent hub for global wealth. The report by Betterhomes, titled Dubai: No Longer a Pit Stop, But the Finish Line for Global Wealth, noted that Dubai now counts 81,200 resident millionaires, nearly double from a decade ago. “With policy clarity, safety, infrastructure, and zero income tax, Dubai has matured into the world’s most compelling plug-and-play city for wealth,” said Louis Harding, CEO of Betterhomes. High-net-worth individuals are investing an average of Dh11.4 million per property, while ultra-wealthy families are committing upwards of Dh134 million to legacy homes and branded residences. Dubai’s luxury property market continues to boom, with Dh147.2 billion in villa and townhouse sales recorded so far this year — a 41 percent jump from 2024. Communities like Palm Jumeirah and Emirates Hills remain hot spots for ultra-prime deals. Betterhomes predicts Dubai’s wealth ecosystem — from DIFC family offices to concierge-grade branded living — will continue attracting global capital as legacy hubs face rising tax and policy hurdles. “This cycle is driven by real users, not leverage,” Harding said. “Dubai’s prime market is shifting from cyclical to structural.” ICA/Expat Media
