Dubai is set to unveil one of its most unique beachfront destinations yet, as the Dubai Municipality confirmed that the Al Mamzar Corniche development has reached 88 percent completion. The project, located along the Al Mamzar coastline, will introduce the city’s first public beach dedicated exclusively to women—designed with privacy, safety, and comfort in mind. The beach will be fully enclosed to ensure privacy and will also allow night swimming, a feature aimed at expanding leisure options beyond daytime hours. The update was announced on Tuesday (April 7) following a site inspection led by Engineer Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, who visited the project for the first time alongside senior officials, engineers, and project teams. The visit focused on reviewing construction progress and ensuring the development remains on track. Bin Ghalita said the project reflects a broader vision for Dubai’s evolving coastline. “Al Mamzar Corniche Development Project represents a significant step forward in redefining public beach development. It introduces a new generation of integrated coastal destinations that combine architectural excellence, environmental preservation, and climate adaptability, while delivering sustainable social and economic value,” he said. He added that the project reinforces Dubai’s position as a global tourism hub offering high-quality beach and leisure experiences for both residents and visitors. Beyond the women-only beach, the development is designed as a fully integrated coastal destination. Plans include a wide range of amenities such as food and beverage outlets along the beachfront, walking, jogging and cycling tracks, and dedicated zones for recreation. Families can also expect children’s play areas, fitness spaces, beach activity zones, shaded seating, and even a covered skate park. Event spaces and seasonal activity areas are also being built, allowing the destination to remain active from day into the evening. According to Badr Anwahi, the scale of the project highlights Dubai’s long-term planning for public spaces. “The scale of these projects reflects our commitment to delivering integrated coastal destinations that prioritise resilience, safety, and visitor experience. These developments are designed not only to meet current needs, but to serve future generations,” he said. Once completed, Al Mamzar Corniche is expected to become a standout addition to Dubai’s coastline, offering a mix of privacy-focused spaces, family-friendly attractions, and round-the-clock beach experiences.
