Dubai Municipality will begin accepting applications for short-term winter camp permits on October 18. Starting on November 1, 2022, and running through the end of April 2023, Al Awir-1 will be open for camping. This news is in keeping with the Municipality's mission to provide effective services to the people of Dubai, thereby promoting their happiness and well-being. During the 2022-2023 session, the authority is ready to accept applications for permits for temporary camps. The Dubai Municipality works with the Dubai Police, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and the Dubai Civil Defense to provide campers with clean, safe, and secure areas to stay in. Campers are assured that the municipal teams are well-equipped to meet any needs they may have during the winter camping season. People with a high level of determination are also taken into account to ensure a pleasant and productive camping trip. Store owners have been provided multiple locations to set up shop and serve the onsite campers. Government agencies have been allotted specific areas to facilitate the health and happiness of their personnel. Dubai Municipality also stated that all required documents must be submitted with the permit application via Dubai Municipality's website, www.dm.gov.ae, including a valid copy of their passport issued by the Emirate of Dubai and an extract of the civil registry. The permitted period for camping is six months, with a minimum of a three-month permit. It costs 44 fils per square meter per week, and campers cannot exceed 400 square meters per single camp. Permit holders are prohibited from renting their campsites or allowing anyone else to stay in them. The campgrounds are for private, family use; business rentals or hotel stays are not permitted. The Municipality has assembled a special team to oversee the temporary winter camps; this group will ensure that all permit-related matters are attended to and resolved promptly. Additionally, they will remove any roadblocks to the application process, supervise the restoration of the campsite for the following season, and conduct routine field monitoring to ensure compliance with municipal rules and regulations as outlined in the permit. In addition, the group will solicit and record customer comments, then work to implement any necessary changes. They will also provide feedback for evaluation, helping the Municipality make any adjustments required to provide a better service to the locals.
