Dubai Outlet Mall multi-car fires: Arson being investigated

DUBAI - The Dubai police have arrested the suspect and are reportedly looking at arson as the possible cause of a fire that destroyed 11 vehicles at a parking lot near Dubai Outlet Mall on Saturday. The Dubai police on Sunday revealed that a bus driver who had an argument with another driver set the latter's vehicle on fire and fled the scene. Police have arrested the suspect before he could flee the country. Because of strong winds on Saturday, the fire spread to nearby vehicles. Authorities were alerted about the blaze at 4:14pm, and the fire was brought under control in 30 minutes. However, no one was reported hurt or injured in the incident. A video of the blaze went viral on social media and showed a yellow Corvette and minibus among the vehicles that went up in flames.
