  DUBAI – Hundreds of comments flooded a post on the Dubai Parks & Resorts social media page after it advertised a Dh39 special entry fee for Filipinos. According to the Dubai theme park, the promotion is in celebration of the upcoming Philippine Independence Day on June 12.

Many social media users asked if the promotion is available to Filipinos on visit visa in the UAE, including Facebook user Imelda G. (full name withheld) who asked if her daughter and husband on visit visa can come and join the group. While it did not mention details about the terms of the offer, the park responded that “all Filipino guests are welcome to join us to celebrate the Philippines Independence Day”. When contacted by Expat Media for a clarification, Dubai Parks & Resorts said: “We apologize the offer is only for residents as per the terms and conditions”. What is the offer about?

Filipino expatriates in the UAE can enjoy entry to the Dubai Parks and Resorts for only Dh39 from June 12 to 15. The promotion is part of the theme park’s Philippine Independence Day offer. This means full one-day access to rides and attractions Hollywood-inspired Motiongate, Bollywood Parks and Legoland Dubai, plus themed zones and Riverland Dubai.

Is it for all Filipinos?

Only Filipino residents in the UAE can avail of the offer. All guests will need to present their Emirates ID, driving license or copy of a valid passport at the gate before they are allowed to enter.

Is there free entry for children?

Yes. The theme park’s terms and conditions specifies: “Children under the age of 3 enter for free. Valid ID proof is needed.”

Can I buy a discounted ticket and use it some other time?

No. The offer is valid only for use between June 12 to 15.

How many tickets can I buy?

You can buy one ticket per Emirates ID. If you are buying for a group of Filipino residents in the UAE, you can buy a maximum of 14 tickets per transaction.

Can I refund my ticket?

Tickets are non-refundable, non-resalable and non-exchangeable for any other promotion, discount or ticket.

Can I upgrade my ticket?

Yes. The ticket is upgradeable to an Annual Pass, a regular Annual Pass (Single Park and Multi-park). Guests must visit the park’s guest services desk for an upgrade on the date of visit.

Yes, but for re-entry you need to present your physical ticket.

No. Food bought from outside the theme park is not allowed. All bags, backpacks or packages may be inspected prior to entering the park.
