Filipino reality TV star JM Ibarra is set to make his much-anticipated Dubai debut this February, with a special fan meet-and-greet event at Chicking’s Mall of the Emirates branch, executives confirmed to Expat Media. Ibarra, known for his stint on Pinoy Big Brother, will meet his UAE-based supporters on February 21, offering five fans an exclusive opportunity to interact with him in person. To join the draw for an exclusive meet and greet with Ibarra, fans must purchase a Chicking Supermeal for Dh35 from any Chicking branch in the UAE or online between now and February 18. Five winners will be drawn and announced ahead of the February 21 event. “We’re thrilled to bring JM Ibarra to Dubai for the first time, and we want to give his fans an up-close experience with him,” a Chicking executive told Expat Media. Aside from the Chicking event, Ibarra is also part of the celebrity lineup at Barrio Fiesta Dubai, the annual Filipino cultural festival happening at Zabeel Park on February 23. He will join his Pinoy Big Brother co-star Fyang Smith, alongside powerhouse singers Morissette Amon and Darren Espanto, who will headline the entertainment lineup. The full-day event, running from 10am until sundown, will feature a variety of activities, including outdoor markets, live performances, and a food bazaar. Attendees can expect non-stop entertainment on the main stage, with a mix of traditional and contemporary Filipino acts. Chicking will also have a food stall at Barrio Fiesta, where festivalgoers can enjoy their popular meals. “We’re bringing the Chicking experience to Barrio Fiesta, so everyone can enjoy delicious and affordable meals while celebrating Filipino culture,” the executive added. Tickets for Barrio Fiesta Dubai start at Dh20 for students and children and are available on Virgin Megastore’s website and retail outlets. Ibarra’s growing popularity stems from his engaging personality and performances on Pinoy Big Brother, making him a rising star in the Filipino entertainment industry.
