Dubai Police has bolstered its fleet of traffic patrol vehicles with the addition of two new Tesla cars. The new Tesla vehicles, fully decked out in the force's official livery, will be deployed to key tourist areas and high-traffic zones across the emirate to improve security presence and ensure smoother traffic flow. Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic, announced the integration of the electric vehicles, emphasizing their role in enhancing the quality of traffic and security services. The addition of Teslas aligns with Dubai Police's broader strategy to incorporate advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and smart systems, into its operations. “By adding these new patrol vehicles, we are able to respond more swiftly to incidents and provide better on-the-ground presence, especially in high-traffic and tourist-heavy areas,” Brigadier Bin Suwaidan said. He noted that the environmentally friendly vehicles are equipped with the latest features designed to assist officers in managing traffic, preventing accidents, and improving overall road safety. The Tesla patrol cars are part of Dubai Police’s continuous efforts to adopt sustainable initiatives, showcasing their forward-thinking approach to policing. The department has been known for its high-tech fleet, which includes the Tesla Cybertruck and other luxury cars like Bugatti and Lamborghini, serving both practical purposes and symbolizing the city’s embrace of innovation. In addition to their high-performance capabilities, the Teslas will also contribute to reducing the carbon footprint of Dubai Police's operations, in line with the emirate's sustainability goals.
