Dubai Police has arrested a 24-year old Asian hit-and-run driver in less than three hours. According to the police, a 27-year old Asian man was crossing the road when the vehicle driven by an Asian man struck him. The driver attempted to escape the country to avoid being captured. The injured victim was taken to Rashid Hospital for urgent medical care. Colonel Abdel Moneim Abdel Rahman Muhammed, Acting Director of Bur Dubai Police Station, received a tip-off about a hit-and-run accident in Al Quoz Industrial Area. Upon investigation, it was found that the incident left a pedestrian severely injured as the driver fled the scene. Specialized teams quickly found the abandoned vehicle involved in the hit-and-run collision within an hour. The driver, who tried to flee the country, was caught in less than three hours. Colonel Moneim stressed the need for pedestrian caution and driver alertness, emphasizing the legal repercussions for irresponsible behavior. JAC/Expat Media
