Dubai Police have arrested a man for illegally practicing medicine after discovering that he was running a makeshift hair transplant clinic inside his residential apartment. The Anti-Economic Crimes Department at Dubai Police’s General Department of Criminal Investigation, in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), carried out the operation following weeks of surveillance. Investigators revealed that the suspect had converted his three-bedroom flat into an unlicensed medical facility, dedicating one room for procedures while the others served as living quarters. Videos of his services were being promoted through a dedicated social media account to attract unsuspecting clients. When police raided the apartment, they seized medical instruments, chemicals, anaesthetics, and disinfectants, none of which met health and safety standards. The apartment was shut down and all items confiscated. “The suspect’s actions posed a serious threat to people’s health and safety,” Dubai Police said, warning residents against being lured by cheap, unauthorized medical procedures. Authorities emphasized the dangers of undergoing treatment at unlicensed facilities, urging the public to verify the qualifications of healthcare and cosmetic providers.
