Dubai Police has arrested a gang that used social media to sell fraudulent Haj and Umrah visa services, deceiving unsuspecting victims with the promise of low prices and easy bank transfers. Authorities revealed that the scammers posed as authorized agents, convincing individuals that they could facilitate quick visa approvals. Once payments were made, victims were blocked, leaving them stranded without visas or recourse. "These scams exploit people's religious aspirations, particularly during peak pilgrimage seasons," Dubai Police warned. They urged residents to get pilgrimage visas exclusively through licensed UAE agencies and to remain cautious of online advertisements offering unrealistically cheap services.
