Two expatriates have been awarded for cooperating with Dubai Police, contributing to enhancing safety and security in the community. Yasir Hayat Khan Sheer and Nishan Rai Bijab Kumar Ray were honored for their “cooperation and ethical conduct,” according to Dubai Police without elaborating. The Dubai residents received certificates of appreciation from Dubai Police’s Bur Dubai Police Station, according to Dubai Police on Friday (September 6). Sheer and Ray expressed their pride and joy at being honoured by the Dubai Police and thanked the police force for their keenness to protect society and praise good deeds. Brigadier Abdul Moneim Abdel Rahman Mohammed, Acting Deputy Director of Bur Dubai Police Station, conveyed Dubai Police's appreciation and respect to them, and praised their cooperation with the Force. "Dubai Police realises that the cooperation of all segments of society is vital and actively contributes to the Force's efforts in protecting the society and ensuring their happiness," Brigadier Mohammed said. The Dubai Police regularly awards citizens and expats contributing to the city’s safety. In 2022, the police force honored Filipina Cherilyn Gamba Cabag who alerted police after she witnessed a man being abducted in Dubai. The Filipina’s crucial call saved the man’s life and led to the arrest of his three abductors. ICA/Expat Media
