Dubai Police has denied reports of fatalities in a hot air balloon incident that occurred on March 23 along the Dubai-Al Ain Road, after a viral video showed tourists experiencing a hard landing. The video, which surfaced over the weekend, featured a Russian tourist and her mother aboard the balloon. The footage triggered false claims on international platforms about deaths in the crash. However, Dubai authorities confirmed that all passengers sustained only minor to moderate injuries. “Some reports circulating in the media about the incident are false and misleading,” said Dubai Police in a statement, “All affected individuals received immediate medical attention.” A tour operator involved explained that the balloon was forced into a hard landing due to sudden weather changes and strong winds. “There were four tourists onboard. Weather conditions deteriorated rapidly,” the operator said. An investigation is currently underway to determine the precise cause of the incident.
