Dubai Police has launched its “Ramadan Without Accidents” initiative, which includes distributing free iftar meals to motorists before Maghrib prayer. The initiative aims to reduce speeding and reckless driving as fasting drivers rush home to break their fast. Officers will distribute meals at seven locations across the city: City Walk junction, Al Satwa Roundabout, Madina Mall, Century Mall, American Hospital, Al Mizhar 4 and Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre junction in Al Khawaneej. By providing meals on the road, authorities hope motorists will avoid sudden speeding or dangerous lane changes in an attempt to reach home before iftar. The campaign forms part of broader Ramadan road safety efforts across the UAE, as officials continue to remind drivers to remain patient and alert during fasting hours. ICA/Expat Media
