Dubai Police has honored Swadesh Kumar, an Indian expat, for his honesty and integrity after he found and returned Dh100,000 that he discovered in the Al Barsha area. The commendation ceremony, led by Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi, took place at the Al Barsha Police Station. Brigadier Al Suwaidi praised Kumar's act, describing him as a role model for Dubai residents. “The commitment shown by Mr. Kumar embodies the values of integrity and public responsibility that Dubai Police aims to promote,” Al Suwaidi said. He emphasized that such acts of honesty support Dubai Police’s mission of fostering a culture of safety and cooperation. Kumar’s decision to return the cash has gained widespread respect in Dubai’s community. During the ceremony, he received a certificate of appreciation from Dubai Police in recognition of his exemplary action. “It was my duty to return the money and ensure it reached the rightful owner,” Kumar rsaid. The event was attended by senior officers, including Colonel Mostafa Mohamed Abdullah and Lt. Col. Yasser Al Hashemi, who echoed Al Suwaidi’s sentiments on the importance of community integrity. Kumar’s action is seen as reinforcing trust between law enforcement and the public.
