An Estonian tourist has been recognised by Dubai Police for her exceptional honesty after returning a piece of gold jewellery she found while visiting one of the emirate’s popular tourist spots. Marion Kaljon was honoured by the General Department of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police in a recognition ceremony held by the Tourist Police Department. Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourist Police Department, presented Kaljon with a certificate of appreciation, commending her ethical conduct and civic integrity. “This act exemplifies the values of honesty and cooperation that we strive to promote within our community,” said Brigadier Al Jallaf. According to officials, Kaljon immediately reported the lost item and handed it over to Tourist Police personnel, showcasing an inspiring level of public responsibility. Also present during the recognition ceremony were Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abdulrahman, Deputy Director of the Tourist Police Department, and Captain Shehab Al Saadi, Head of the Tourist Happiness Section. Brigadier Al Jallaf emphasized that the recognition is part of a broader initiative by Dubai Police to encourage public participation in building a safe and cooperative society. “Stories like these serve as powerful reminders of the role each individual can play in building a safe, respectful, and cooperative society,” he added.
