Dubai Police officers and mascots brought joy to Filipinos at Barrio Fiesta 2025 at Dubai’s Zabeel Park on Sunday (February 23). The vibrant event featured a mix of music, food, and family-friendly entertainment, once again proving to be a lively celebration of Filipino heritage in the UAE. The Positive Spirit Council of Dubai Police, led by Chairwoman Fathima Ahmed Buhjeer, and Colonel Khalifa Al Awadhi, Deputy Director of Bur Dubai Police Station, were among the special guests at the festival. Their presence underscored Dubai Police’s commitment to strengthening ties with the Filipino community. The Philippine Consul General in Dubai, Marford Angeles, also graced the event, emphasizing the strong cultural and diplomatic ties between the UAE and the Philippines. Barrio Fiesta Dubai 2025, organized by TFC in collaboration with Infinite Communities and Love Josie, also featured the participation of brands beloved by Filipinos, including Redha Al Ansari, Chicking, Philippine Airlines, LBC Express, Chinese Star, Agemono Express, Dencio's, Razons and Bibingka and Paratha. Adding to the excitement, Dubai Police mascots and mounted officers engaged with attendees, delighting families and selfie-seekers. Festival-goers enthusiastically took photos with the mascots, highlighting the warm camaraderie between law enforcement and the community. Aside from the interactive police presence, the festival showcased a Filipino food bazaar, a shopping area featuring local brands, and a series of musical performances. Filipino music icons Morissette Amon and Darren Espanto headlined the event, thrilling the crowd with their powerful vocals.
