A new partnership with Parkin, Dubai’s parking provider, will now allow Dubai Police to detect vehicles with unpaid fines or seizure orders the moment they use Parkin’s facilities. Announced at recently concluded GITEX Global 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the agreement connects Dubai Police’s traffic systems with Parkin’s smart parking and payment platforms — a major step toward full digital integration. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Brigadier Issam Ibrahim Al Awar, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, and Engineer Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Parkin. “This project is a big step forward for road safety in Dubai,” said Brigadier Al Awar. “It will improve monitoring, ensure compliance with traffic laws, and reduce unpaid fines or unlicensed vehicles — all contributing to a safer, happier city.” Through real-time data sharing, the system can instantly flag vehicles linked to violations or criminal cases, allowing swift action from authorities. Engineer Al Ali praised the initiative as “a reflection of Dubai’s vision to become one of the world’s smartest and most sustainable cities.” Both organizations said the partnership is part of a broader effort to enhance traffic management, improve planning, and make Dubai’s roads among the safest in the world.
