Dubai Police patrols came to the rescue of a driver whose car’s cruise control malfunctioned while she was driving on Emirates Road toward Abu Dhabi, preventing what could have been a serious accident. According to Brigadier Jumaa Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic, the woman was unable to control her car’s speed after the cruise control got stuck, leaving it unresponsive to both the brakes and accelerator. Traffic patrols immediately responded to the emergency after receiving her distress call. Officers located her vehicle and stayed in constant communication, providing step-by-step guidance over the phone as they escorted her along the road. Their quick coordination and precise instructions allowed the driver to safely bring her car to a stop without injury or damage.
