A tourist who lost a valuable gold necklace while visiting Hatta Dam received an unexpected act of kindness from Dubai Police’s Marine Rescue Unit. Upon receiving a distress call from the Command and Control Centre, rescue personnel from the Ports Police Station swiftly arrived at the site. After a meticulous underwater search, they successfully recovered the necklace. Col. Ali Abdullah Al Naqbi, Acting Director of the Ports Police Station, explained that although recovering lost items isn’t part of their formal duty, “We respond to such calls out of our keenness to please the public and volunteer to help.” The grateful tourist praised Dubai Police’s dedication, saying their fast response and attention to detail turned what could have been a ruined vacation into a memorable experience.
