Dubai Police has seized nearly 3,800 e-bikes, e-scooters and bicycles for violating safety regulations within the Naif Police Station jurisdiction, officials said. These vehicles were confiscated for being used in non-designated areas, including public roads, which are off-limits to such modes of transportation. The police launched a crackdown to enhance road safety and prevent accidents in Dubai. According to Brigadier Omar Musa Ashour, Acting Director of Naif Police Station, 3,779 vehicles have been seized since the beginning of the year. This includes 2,286 bicycles, 771 e-bikes, and 722 e-scooters. The police emphasized their ongoing efforts to improve road safety through intensified traffic enforcement. Brig. Ashour highlighted the importance of adhering to safety and security guidelines while operating these vehicles. He noted that riders should use designated lanes, avoid carrying passengers or large items that could affect their balance, and refrain from modifying their vehicles in ways that could compromise safety. Dubai Police have called on cyclists to follow all traffic regulations and use permitted lanes to prevent accidents. The public is also urged to report any reckless or dangerous behavior through the "Police Eye" service on the Dubai Police app or by calling the "We Are All Police" service on 901. ICA/Expat Media
