Dubai private school fees to increase, says KHDA
Dubai has approved a 3 percent increase in tuition fees at private schools in the emirate for the 2023-2023 academic year, according to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). According to the KHDA, the approved fee takes into account the economic situation, operational costs and maintenance of education quality in the emirate. “The rate by which schools can increase fees is tied to each school’s most recent inspection rating from the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau,” according to a KHDA statement. Only private schools in Dubai that passed the recent annual inspection of the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau are eligible to increase their fees by 3 percent. Schools that drop in inspection ratings will not be allowed to implement fee increases.
