Dubai: Singer-turned-meme queen Querubin Llavahore goes viral over incident with stranger’s sports car

Tawag ng Tanghalan singer Querubin Llavahore went viral again after she shared her encounter in Dubai with a stranger who owns a sports car. “Ganito ba (ang) mga mayayaman sa Dubai? (Is this how rich people are in Dubai?),” Llavore asked in her Facebook post that showed her in the driver's seat of a red sports car. The singer-turned-meme queen said she was waiting for food delivery near a hotel in Dubai and was trying to take a picture of her location to send to the delivery man when the owner of the sports car that was parked nearby thought she was taking a photo of his vehicle. Llavore said the man even encouraged her to take a photo in the driver seat, to which she initially politely refused. “Come here, take a picture with my car,” Llavore quoted the man as saying, " 'no it’s okay' ... 'come on, don’t be shy.'” Llavore said the man was accompanied by his wife, who also told her to take a photo inside their car. The Filipina said that she felt embarrassed to correct them, and just went along with the amusing misunderstanding. “Instead of just waiting for my food order, I was able to take a photo in the expensive car,” she quipped. Llavore, who works as a professional singer, first went viral after her stint in singing competition Tawag ng Tanghalan in the Philippines in 2022. She was caught on video crying in joy for winning a round, but as soon as she spotted the camera sweeping close to her, she made a funny face and stuck her tongue out before going back to crying. That video clip made her internet famous and became one of the most popular memes on social media. ICA/Expat Media
