The Government of Dubai Media Office has released a multilingual video safety guide to help residents respond calmly and safely during emergencies. The guide, developed in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority and the Dubai Resilience Centre, is available in seven languages: Arabic, English, Filipino, Mandarin, Russian, Hindi and Urdu. Officials said the initiative aims to ensure that residents from different backgrounds clearly understand what to do in emergency situations, especially during heightened regional tensions. The video guide outlines practical steps for staying safe indoors and outdoors. When inside a building, residents are advised to move away from open areas such as windows and balconies and stay in interior spaces. Authorities also recommend avoiding elevators, keeping distance from glass surfaces, and following all official instructions until an “all clear” notification is issued. For those outdoors, the guidance is to move indoors immediately and take shelter in the nearest building. If driving, residents are advised to safely park their vehicle, exit, and seek a secure location. Authorities also stressed the importance of staying away from external walls, windows, and balconies, and keeping updated through official communication channels. The release of the guide comes as UAE authorities continue to emphasise preparedness, clear communication, and public awareness as key elements of safety. Residents are reminded to remain calm, follow official updates, and avoid relying on unverified information during emergencies.
