Dubai: Reported crimes, traffic-related deaths drop by 77 percent

Comparing this year to last, the number of criminal reports filed at police stations across Dubai has decreased by 77%. The Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, credited the notable decrease to the extraordinary efforts of the directors and staff of the Dubai police stations, who work tirelessly to guarantee the highest levels of safety and security throughout their respective jurisdiction areas. The key nine strategic indicators of the police stations sector, including the Criminal Indicator, showed a 77% drop in criminal reports this year than there was the year before. It also demonstrated a rise in the number of identified and stopped crimes. The traffic indicator, meanwhile, indicated a decline in traffic-related fatalities per 100,000 people. The Performance Improvement Index increased by five points 4% for the Police Stations sector as well. Additionally, a survey of employees' opinions revealed that the Employee Motivation Index reached 100% and the Job Happiness Index reached 97%. A safe and resilient city, community happiness, and innovation in institutional capabilities are the three main pillars around which Al Marri reiterated that police stations should coordinate their efforts and work as a team to achieve the strategic objectives of Dubai Police.
