Dubai Ride to transform Sheikh Zayed Road into giant cycling track on November 12
Sheikh Zayed Road is set to transform into a giant cycling track for the fourth edition of Dubai Ride on Sunday (November 12). Dubai Ride is one of the most highly anticipated events on the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) calendar, inviting cyclists of all ages and abilities to join the emirate's largest community cycling event, regardless of age, fitness level or ability. The iconic cycling event is non-competitive and open to all. Participants can enjoy two unique routes that highlight prominent Dubai landmarks, such as the Museum of the Future, Dubai Water Canal, and Burj Khalifa. Riders can choose between two routes: the 12km Sheikh Zayed Road course or the 4km Downtown family route along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard. Cyclists of all ages and skill levels are invited to embark on this flat route, which begins at 6:15am at Dubai Mall and takes you along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, passing by the Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa.12km Sheikh Zayed Road route
The advanced course stretches from Dubai World Trade Centre to Safa Park, this course includes a scenic climb over the Dubai Canal Bridge. The ride begins at 6:15am, and cyclists can choose from five different starting points: Museum of the Future, Al Satwa, the Coca-Cola Arena, Business Bay, and the Lower Financial Centre. Participants can secure their spot by signing up online and choosing their desired route and starting location. Upon registration, a QR code will be issued, which is essential for collecting bibs. Pick up is set until November 11 at the new Run and Ride Central in One Central from 2pm to 10pm on Mondays to Fridays and 10am to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday. Anyone without a bib will not be able to take part. Participants are also required to bring their own bike, helmet and water bottle on the day.
