Dubai: RTA launches digital permits for passenger transport drivers

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has introduced digital permits for passenger transport drivers and school transport attendants. The permits are accessible via RTA's website and the RTA Dubai Drive app. This update is part of RTA's ongoing transition to digital platforms. Additionally, it is consistent with the Smart City initiative and the RTA's third strategic objective (People Happiness). The innovative transformation of professional permits has been rolled out by sending letters and holding workshops for stakeholders in the fields of taxis, limos, and school transport to introduce them to digital cards through smartphones via the Dubai Drive app. A manual has been issued for using the RTA-DUBAI DRIVE app on smartphones and displaying the virtual card.
