Dubai Run 2024 to be held on November 24

The Dubai Run 2024 will be back on November 24, turning the city’s Sheikh Zayed Road into a giant race track. Considered the world’s biggest fun run, the Dubai Run will see the iconic highway closed to traffic for several hours to make way for the sea of runners, walkers and joggers of all ages. The start of registration is expected to be announced soon via dubairun.com. Registration is free of cost. Once signed up, participants will be invited to collect their free bibs and t-shirts. Participants will have the choice of two distinct routes, both starting on Sheikh Zayed Road. Dubai Run features the 5km run for families and beginners. More experienced runners can take on the 10km Sheikh Zayed Road route. Last year’s Dubai Run attracted more than 226,000 and this year’s event is expected to draw an even bigger crowd. The Dubai Run is part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), which is officially kicking off this year on October 28 and will run until November 24. The eighth edition of the month-long fitness event in the UAE encourages residents and visitors of all ages to commit to 30 minutes of exercise for 30 consecutive days. Launched in 2017 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the challenge also aims to foster a sense of community, as people come together to achieve their fitness goals. DFC also includes the Dubai Stand-Up Paddle on November 2 and the Dubai Ride on November 10. Registration details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks via dubaifitnesschallenge.com.
