Dubai’s most iconic fitness event is making a comeback. Organizers have confirmed that Dubai Run 2025 will take place on November 23, transforming Sheikh Zayed Road into the world’s biggest running track for one morning only. The event is part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), now on its ninth edition, which will run from November 1 to 30 under the theme “Year of the Community”. Registration details are expected to be announced later and is free via dubairun.com. Watch this space Speaking at the DFC launch event, Khalfan Belhoul, Vice Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, said: “With 2025 declared the Year of Community in the UAE, I am confident that this year’s edition will once again unite friends, families, and organisations in the shared pursuit of a healthier, more active lifestyle.” Last year, Dubai Run broke records, with 278,000 participants joining the event — a 23 percent jump from the previous year — all led by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai. In a stunning display of unity and wellness, Dubai’s main highway, Sheikh Zayed Road, will once again be closed to vehicles to allow runners, joggers, and walkers to take over the city. Participants can choose between two routes: the 5km route passing Burj Khalifa, Dubai Opera, and ending near Dubai Mall; and the 10km route extending across Dubai Canal Bridge to DIFC Gate Building. The run is free and open to all fitness levels, making it one of the most inclusive events in the UAE. Dubai Run has become one of the biggest highlights of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, encouraging residents and tourists alike to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
