Dubai Run participants have the chance to win prizes this Sunday (November 24) as the world’s biggest fun run kicks off on Sheikh Zayed Road. Organizers said those who will be among the first to arrive at the starting line will stand the chance to win “epic prizes”. Winners will be contacted after the event, and participants must wear their bib to be eligible for the prizes. Tens of thousands of fitness enthusiasts are expected to take over Sheikh Zayed Road for the iconic event. The Dubai Run features two routes to accommodate all fitness levels: a 5km track for families and beginners and a 10km course for seasoned runners. Both routes begin near the Museum of the Future. The 5km route passes iconic landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Opera, ending near Dubai Mall, while the 10km route extends across the Dubai Canal Bridge and concludes near the DIFC Gate Building. To ensure smooth logistics, Dubai Metro services will start at 3am, allowing participants to arrive by 3:30am. Routes will open at 6:30am and the run will officially begin at 8:15am. Participants are required to finish by 9am. Wearing a bib is mandatory, with organizers stressing, “No bib, no participation.” Safety and accessibility are top priorities. Participants are advised to leave pets, backpacks, scooters, and bikes at home, and those using the Dubai Metro must carry a Nol card with at least Dh15 in credit. Roads including parts of Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Sukook Street, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard will be closed from 3:30am to 10:30am. Alternative routes such as Al Mustaqbal Road and Al Wasl Road are suggested by the RTA. Participants like Liezel Cruz, a first-time runner, are excited. “I’m thrilled to join the Dubai Run! It’s a great way to connect with others and see Dubai from a different perspective,” she told Expat Media. With its festive atmosphere, incredible views, and the opportunity to win prizes, Dubai Run 2024 promises to be an unforgettable experience for all.Key details
