Salik will roll out its variable toll pricing fee on January 31, which means that Salik fees will be costlier during peak hours, but free in the late hours. According to the Roads and Transport Authority, From Monday to Saturday, peak-hour tolls will rise to Dh6 during the morning (6am to 10am) and evening (4pm to 8pm) rush hours. Off-peak tolls will remain at Dh4 between 10am to 4pm and 8pm to 1am. On Sundays, the toll will remain Dh4 throughout the day. There will be no Salik fee from 1am to 6am daily, when it is free. Special timings will apply during Ramadan, with peak-hour fees adjusted to Dh6 from 9am to 5pm. Off-peak charges during Ramadan will be Dh4, with no fees between 2am to 7am.
