Dubai school bus driver jailed for kissing girl on cheek

  DUBAI – A 26-year-old Pakistani school bus driver will be spending one year in prison for kissing a five-year-old Egyptian girl in the back seat of the bus. At the Dubai Court of First Instance on Wednesday, the driver was convicted of molesting the schoolgirl. He will be deported after serving his jail term. The incident was discovered after a Syrian supervisor saw the Pakistani driver kissing the girl on the cheek in the back of the bus, with the girl sitting on his lap. The supervisor then led the girl away and reported the incident to the school management. The girl’s mother testified that her daughter told her that the driver approached her as she was the last student on the bus. The girl also said she refused to kiss the driver, who then kissed her on the cheek.
