Dubai’s new high-tech lab to create over 100 jobs

A new high-tech laboratory in Dubai Science Park is set to create more than 100 jobs as it offers a wide range of genetic testing services. The lab by Innovate Life Sciences Lab will initially create more than 100 jobs with plans to expand the workforce by 200 per cent by 2026, officials said. The facility was launched at the recent Arab Health 2023. The lab will develop affordable technologies that use artificial intelligence and machine learning to analyse genetic data. “Our purpose is to help advance the genetic testing landscape using NextGen Sequencing instruments backed up with technologically advanced computational analysis and expert insights,” said Syed Hussaini, Chairman of Innovate Life Sciences Lab. Genomics, the study of genes, is being used to help patients detect, prevent or treat health conditions based on their genetic profile. Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park, said the lab is “taking genomics to the next level with AI”. “Such labs can help put Dubai-based providers, pharmaceuticals and medical device manufacturers in the driving seat of the R&D Strategy and Dubai on the map for healthcare innovation,” Janahi said.
