An Asian passenger has been arrested at the Dubai airport for trying to smuggle 7.06kg of marijuana in his luggage. According to Dubai Customs officials, the marijuana was hidden in bags of a popular breakfast cereal. Khaled Ahmed, senior manager of the Passenger Operations Department at Terminal 1, said the marijuana was discovered during an inspection. Officials have seized the illegal narcotics and the passenger has been handed over to the General Directorate of Anti-Narcotics at Dubai Police. Police have previously said that smugglers have been found to have used various tactics to hide drugs, including incorporating them in cosmetics and food items. ICA/Expat Media
