At GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, one exhibit left visitors buzzing — the RoboCar, a sleek, fully electric self-driving vehicle by emerging autonomous mobility company Tensor. Described as the world’s first self-driving EV ready for public purchase, the RoboCar captivated tech enthusiasts with its futuristic design and AI-driven features. But beyond its looks, it was the car’s rumored production story that fueled even more excitement. Reports from Vietnamese media last month suggested that VinFast, Vietnam’s fast-growing electric vehicle manufacturer, is building the RoboCar in collaboration with Tensor. While neither company has officially confirmed the partnership, the speculation has stirred interest across the automotive industry. If confirmed, the partnership would combine Tensor’s cutting-edge AI and autonomous driving systems with VinFast’s large-scale EV manufacturing expertise, potentially accelerating global adoption of smart mobility solutions. Industry analysts believe production could take place at VinFast’s Hai Phong facility, known for precision engineering and sustainable practices. VinFast has already delivered more than 100,000 EVs in 2025, cementing its reputation as a global EV player. Demonstrations at GITEX showcased RoboCar’s advanced perception systems, adaptive driving algorithms, and user-friendly interface.
